WWE Hell in a Cell 2015: Feuds Guaranteed to Disappoint Fans

Aaron BowerOct 15, 2015

Although lots of matches are scheduled for Hell in a Cell, expect some of them to fall flat and leave fans disappointed.

It has not been a superb few months for WWE, and a lack of storyline development in areas has left some feuds with little intrigue or interest surrounding them.

Others just have little pull to them and will be matches that fans will be wishing to end as soon as possible. Here are the bouts that will simply end up disappointing fans.

Charlotte vs. Nikki Bella

Sadly, this is going to be perhaps the most disappointing feud of the lot.

The Divas Revolution clearly was never meant to work out like this, but so many stars have been lost in the shuffle that we're left with a hugely predictable match for the Divas Championship.

The situation involving Paige is perhaps more concerning than anything at the moment. When she cut that fantastic promo the night after Charlotte won the title at Night of Champions, it should have been the catalyst for her to turn heel and go after the champ.

Bizarrely, though, she went from turning on Charlotte and Becky Lynch to saving them on a regular basis. It's all become so confusing, and fans have no idea what's happening.

Sasha Banks was another who could have given a potential championship match some interest, but despite winning plenty of matches, she's currently not set to be involved at Night of Champions.

The saving grace for the Divas division is that there is plenty of talent waiting in the wings. But if Charlotte retains her title at Hell in a Cell, someone needs to make the step up and put Nikki Bella to the back of the line.

Ryback vs. Kevin Owens

Much like the Divas Championship situation before it, Ryback's quest to regain his Intercontinental Championship should really be ending in defeat at Hell in a Cell.

Why is this feud not doing anything to capture the imagination of fans? There just genuinely doesn't seem to be that much personal hatred between the two men.

The feud was thrown together rather quickly to begin with. Owens randomly interrupted a Ryback promo before attacking him during a Lumberjack match against Seth Rollins, and just like that, the feud was created.

There's no depth to the storyline, and it hasn't been improved since Night of Champions, with little interaction between the two.

So hopefully Owens will retain here and move on to a bigger challenge. The fascinating amount of midcarders who are being underbooked at the moment means there's plenty of potential foes out there for Owens.

His title reign desperately needs a boost, and a new rival should do just that. This Ryback feud simply hasn't worked.

Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton vs. Luke Harper and Braun Strowman

When you book two of the biggest babyfaces the company has for the pre-show, you know you've managed to create a feud that will disappoint fans.

Dean Ambrose is probably more popular than Randy Orton, but both are too good for the pre-show.

While Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt inside Hell in a Cell will be an intriguing contest, not least because of the stipulation, the decision to throw the other four men in the feud into a tag match is lazy booking.

Does anyone care about this match? Not really, as you feel both Ambrose and Orton will have bigger things in their future. Unfortunately, they're being portrayed as sidekicks of Reigns here, when both should be in their own feuds.

The only thing that could potentially save this match is a controversial ending, be that an interference from someone like Chris Jericho to set up a feud with Ambrose, or even a heel turn from Ambrose himself to screw Orton. But something needs to give.

Otherwise, this will be one of the most forgettable moments of the entire night.
