Ware Key Cog to Dynamic Broncos Defense
Ware remains a critical edge-rushing asset for the Broncos, even at age 33. He's paired with Von Miller to find a lot of success in coordinator Wade Phillips' defensive scheme, and that's been key for Denver, as the Peyton Manning-led offense hasn't been able to generate its typical level of productivity.
The Troy product has been highly durable throughout his career. He appeared in all 16 regular-season games nine times over the previous 10 years. The only exception was 2013, when he dealt with a wide variety of ailments. He previously missed time with a back injury this season.
Shaquil Barrett figures to see some additional snaps to take some as first-year linebacker Shane Ray continues to recover from a sprained MCL.
The defense will be even more dynamic with Ware's return.
