Arsenal Transfer News: Wonderkid Riechedly Bazoer Eyed, Fresh Mesut Ozil Rumours
Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on Ajax youngster Riechedly Bazoer and are interested in taking the Dutch teenager to the Emirates.
According to Sami Mokbel in the Daily Mail, Gunners scouts have been mightily impressed with the 19-year-old Bazoer this season as he has started every game for Eredivisie-topping Ajax.
Despite only recently turning 19, Bazoer has already earned his first call-up to the Dutch national squad.

Per John Cross in the Mirror, Arsenal were interested in signing the central midfielder three years ago before he joined Ajax from PSV Eindhoven.
A gifted passer and strong dribbler, Bazoer's physicality is a strong indication that he could succeed in the Premier League.
However, Arsenal are not the only big European club reportedly keeping tabs on him, per Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo (via barcastuff):
"Sports director Robert attended Ajax-PSV yesterday to watch Ajax midfielder Riechedly Bazoer (18). Barcelona scouts are following him. [md]

It is unsurprising that Bazoer is prompting interest from top clubs considering the outstanding potential he has displayed playing in the Dutch top flight:
So far in 2015-16 he has provided two assists in eight games and made the central-midfield role at Ajax his own, per WhoScored.com.
Bazoer would likely be a cheap option for the Gunners as they look to strengthen their central midfield, while manager Arsene Wenger could develop him into a world-class player.
However, Arsenal will need to move quickly if they want to get their man as they are clearly not the only club interested in signing up the talented youngster.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are reportedly looking to swiftly tie Mesut Ozil down to a new contract, per Cross.
The German international signed on until 2018 when he arrived at the Emirates for £42.4 million in September 2013.
However, Arsenal are eager to extend Ozil's deal before he enters into the final two years of his current contract, especially after his excellent start to the new season, per Bleacher Report UK:
The Gunners are currently second in the Premier League and look set to make a genuine title challenge this season.
Ozil has played a big part in a strong start to the new term and adding players with Bazoer's talent can only serve to improve both the strength and depth of the Gunners squad.
