Freeney Signed to Compensate for Okafor's Absence
The Cardinals quickly compensated for the loss of Okafor on Oct. 12 by signing veteran pass-rusher Dwight Freeney, according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN. Freeney will account for the absence of Okafor and backup linebacker Kenny Demens, who was lost for the season with a torn ACL, according to Kyle Odegard of ArizonaCardinals.com.
Arizona (6-2) sits atop the NFC West thanks in large part to its stingy defense, which will welcome Okafor back into the fold.
