Wood's Injury Further Depletes Depth at Running Back
The Associated Press’ Teresa Walker noted Buffalo is now down to just two healthy running backs, Boobie Dixon and Boom Herron in the wake of the injury.
The Bills hoped to bolster their offense when trading for LeSean McCoy this offseason, but he and Karlos Williams (concussion) were ruled out against the Titans.
Buffalo was largely stagnant Sunday due to its limited run game stemming from the attrition. Tyrod Taylor carried the running game with 76 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. However, the team's other 20 running plays went for just 57 yards.
Despite the issues with the run game, Buffalo has still managed a respectable 24.8 points per game, good for ninth in the NFL.
