Nick Powell's Career in Doubt After Becoming 'Disillusioned with Football'
Just as we're hearing why Sir Alex Ferguson chose not to sign David Silva, per SiriusXM (h/t Mirror), it looks like his transfer radar might have been off on someone who did become a Manchester United player.
Nick Powell, once highly rated by the Scotsman, is set to leave Old Trafford after becoming "disillusioned with football," according to Steve Bates of the Sunday People (h/t the Mirror).
The Englishman has made just a handful of appearances for the Red Devils over the past few years and may possibly leave on a free transfer when his contract runs out in June 2016.

The 21-year-old joined United from Crewe Alexandra in 2012 and was loaned out to Leicester City by Louis van Gaal shortly after featuring in the 4-0 League Cup defeat to MK Dons last season, a deal which was cut short earlier this year.
Bates reports that question marks have been raised over the "youngster's attitude and commitment to training."
