Lionel Messi has given his seal of approval for compatriot Paulo Dybala, after the Juventus striker made Gerardo Martino's latest Argentina squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay this month.
Though the 21-year-old didn't make it off the bench during Argentina's shock 2-0 defeat to Ecuador on Friday, he has already impressed this season with four goals in nine games since joining Juve from Palermo in the summer.
"Paulo is a great player and he has a bright future ahead of him," Messi, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury, told Tuttosport (via ESPN FC). "I have no doubt about it that people will talk about him a lot over the next few years."
Dybala will hope to make his international debut on Wednesday, when the 2014 World Cup finalists look to get their qualifying campaign back on track against Paraguay.
