There was a rain delay in the top of the third, so the Royals grounds crew had to roll out the tarp. One guy almost got eaten alive.
He managed to escape, however. Staring danger in the face has a way of making people faster and stronger—he definitely checked off both the “fight” and “flight” boxes.
Houston won the game, 5-2. But more importantly: Crew member 1, Tarp 0.

The head groundskeeper Trevor Vance said the kid, Adam Wallace, is "doing fine," per KSHB 41 Kansas City.
"He was sore but went to school," Vance said of the local high school senior, who is reportedly taking Game 2 off.
