Chase Utley went three for six with two runs, a HR, and six RBI. Pedro Feliz went four for six with two runs, a double, and four RBI. Orlando Cabrera went four for six with two runs, a double, and an RBI. Mark Teixeira had four RBI. Shane Victorino scored four runs.

Gregor Blanco, Hideki Matsui, Nick Markakis, Jeff Kent, Chris Coste (four RBI), So Taguchi, Carlos Pena, Dioner Navarro, A.J. Pierzynski, Victor Martinez, and Vladimir Guerrero each had three hits. Ryan Howard had three RBI and scored three runs. Jose Reyes hit a pair of HRs. Aubrey Huff, Ryan Spilborghs, Luis Gonzalez, Ian Kinsler, Eric Hinske each had three RBI.

Scott Kazmir gave up one run on three hits in seven innings, with 10 Ks to improve to 4-1 with a 1.50 ERA. Garrett Olson pitched seven scoreless innings, giving up just three hits with seven Ks to improve to 4-1. Shaun Marcum gave up one earned run in seven-and-one-third innings with six Ks to improve to 5-3 with a 2.64 ERA.

Jason Bergmann struck out eight in five-and-two-thirds scoreless innings for a no-decision. Ben Sheets (six innings, two runs, six Ks) also got a no-decision. Ryan Dempster gave up one run in seven innings to improve to 6-2 with a 2.56 ERA. He beat Chad Billingsley, who gave up two runs on four hits in six innings with seven Ks. Jon Garland (seven-and-one-third scoreless innings) and Kenny Rogers (seven scoreless innings) got lock up in a pitcher’s duel and took no-decisions. Bartolo Colon gave up one run on five hits in seven innings to improve to 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA.
