Nike LeBron 13 'Mulberry' Release Date, Pics and Retail Price
With the NBA season roughly two weeks away, it's only fitting Nike would reward fans with the release of Lebron James' 13 Mulberry sneaker on Saturday, Oct. 10.
On first glance, the latest LeBron release seems to fit part of the aura he has crafted for himself later in his career. It's flashy, icy and commands your attention.

There is another side-angle view, provided by Kixify.com, of the sneakers that illustrates the colorful, controlled nature with which James plays:
It's no surprise that the idea is to echo James' presence on the court and his love for Ohio, as the description on Nike.com has set it up that way:
"For LeBron, there’s no such thing as luck. Hard work, perseverance and the ability to conquer any challenge have led him to victory. This collection pays tribute to LeBron’s self-created destiny while taking inspiration from “Rubber City Soul” by award-winning poet and playwright Lemon Anderson.
"
For those not aware, James' hometown of Akron is known as the "Rubber City."
As for the poem referenced by Nike, it was part of a marketing campaign done by the company in 2013:
The final line, "Talent is given, greatness is earned," is so symbolic and echoes the entire mantra James has maintained throughout his career, but especially after returning to Cleveland.
In his letter about coming back to the Cavaliers, spoken to Lee Jenkins of Sports Illustrated, James' first line was about being a kid from northeast Ohio.
Now, James' latest shoe released on Saturday will capture the full spirit of being a kid from northeast Ohio.
