The German has signed a three-year deal and will be presented in a press conference on Friday.

"Liverpool chiefs would be willing to bring [Steven] Gerrard back to the club as Klopp’s assistant," noted RMC Sport (via Will Giles of Metro) on Oct. 6.
Gerrard is currently fulfilling a playing role at LA Galaxy, but he has previously made clear his desire to return to Anfield in a coaching position.
Klopp is a major coup for Liverpool, as the former BVB boss brings massive pedigree. He turned Dortmund from a mid-table Bundesliga side into champions using astute recruitment, savvy tactics and a unique style of play.
In 2013, Dortmund also reached the final of the Champions League, where they lost to their divisional rivals Bayern Munich in heartbreaking circumstances. Still, it was a measure of just how far the football club had come under the tutelage of Klopp.
A similar rebuilding job is required at Anfield, as Liverpool have struggled to regularly mix it with the top sides in the league. Klopp clearly has the qualities to expedite that process, and his personality will haul Anfield out of the lull it fell into during the final weeks of Rodgers’ tenure.
