Chris Ivory, Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker's Post-Week 4 Fantasy Advice

Timothy RappOct 4, 2015

The New York Jets have revamped their wideout corps in the past two offseasons, and the results are certainly showing for fantasy owners.

And the wideouts aren't having all the fun, as Chris Ivory has become a solid option for fantasy owners at running back, too.

Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker each had big games in the team's 27-14 win over the Miami Dolphins in London on Sunday morning, continuing solid seasons for the starting pair of wide receivers.

Marshall has emerged as a consistent WR1 in all formats, scoring double-digit fantasy points in standard leagues in all four games this season. It shouldn't matter if Ryan Fitzpatrick or Geno Smith is under center, either, as Marshall is a big, reliable target who has become a focal point of New York's offense. He should continue to produce, and even in tough matchups should never be considered anything less than a WR2.

Decker is a flex option, though in his three games this season he's scored nine, 15 and 10 points, meaning he has WR2 upside in the coming weeks as the bye weeks start to narrow your options at the position. The one concern with Decker, however, is that his fantasy production is largely reliant on touchdowns, as 18 of his 34 fantasy points this year have come from reaching paydirt.

That level of touchdown production isn't sustainable, so Decker is likely to be a hit-or-miss option. Play matchups with him and utilize him when your regular starters aren't available or if you need someone for your flex.

As per Ivory, he's been hit or miss for fantasy owners, with 20 or more points in two weeks and five points total in two other games this season. Luckily, Sunday was a hit.

Given how shaky running back is again this year, Ivory has to be considered a boom-or-bust RB2, especially in deeper leagues, and is at least worth flex consideration every week. The Jets went from having a poor offense in 2014 to an extremely balanced one this season, and Marshall, Decker and Ivory's fantasy owners are reaping the rewards.
