Arizona State 38, UCLA 23 — Final

Some thought it was a potential trap game for No. 7 UCLA (4-1), but the clash with Arizona State (3-2) turned into a disaster, as the Sun Devils invaded the Rose Bowl and came away with a 38-23 victory.

After a bad outing against USC last week, Arizona State quarterback Mike Bercovici put together a solid performance, throwing for 273 yards while adding 37 yards on the ground to complement three total touchdowns. He orchestrated an offense that piled up 465 yards against an overworked Bruins defense.

Josh Rosen looked like a freshman, completing just 55 percent of his passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns against one interception. But the biggest surprise was the lack of production from Paul Perkins, who entered the game as the nation’s 10th-leading rusher. Against the Sun Devils, he managed just 58 yards on 19 carries in the upset 15-point loss.

We watched the game and provided live analysis all evening.
