Aleksandar Mitrovic had actually given the Magpies the lead in the first half, but once Aguero found his shooting boots, the match changed dramatically.

No player in Premier League history has ever scored six goals in a single match, and naturally, fans and pundits, like the Liverpool Echo's Kristian Walsh, were hoping the Argentinian would have the chance to set the new record.
Alas, it wasn't to be. Manager Manuel Pellegrini preferred keeping his star striker fresh and healthy, taking him off for Wilfried Bony minutes after he scored his fifth.
