Chris Givens to Ravens: Latest Trade Details, Comments and Reaction
Looking to bolster their increasingly thin receiving corps, the Baltimore Ravens announced they have traded a conditional draft pick to the St. Louis Rams for Chris Givens on Saturday.
Albert Breer of NFL Network reported it's a seventh-round pick heading St. Louis' way.
Givens, 25, had one reception for seven yards through St. Louis' first three games. The 2012 fourth-round pick has been progressively buried on the depth chart as his career has gone on, peaking during his 42-reception rookie campaign. He had only 11 receptions last season while largely serving as a special teamer and did not have a clear path to playing time in 2015.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Rams' move comes as they prepare for the return of starter Brian Quick. Out of the lineup since Week 8 of last season, Quick has been cleared from a shoulder injury.
"[It's been] a long time coming," Quick said, per Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com. "I'm just ready to go out there and take advantage of the opportunity I have."
While the St. Louis receiving corps is starting to round into shape, Baltimore's appears to be falling apart. Rookie wideout Breshad Perriman is yet to make his NFL debut and is out indefinitely after aggravating a PCL injury last week, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Perriman was expected to overtake the role of Torrey Smith, who left for the San Francisco 49ers in free agency.
Mike Clay of Pro Football Focus noted that responsibility may go to Givens now:
Baltimore may also be without veteran Steve Smith, who suffered a back injury in Thursday's 23-20 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Of note as well is the fact the team placed Michael Campanaro, who helps out on special teams mainly, on injured reserve to complete the Givens acquisition. At the very least, Givens' experience on special teams will help replace Campanaro.
With injuries all over the depth chart, the Ravens simply needed a warm body. Givens' ability to stretch the field offers the potential for more—even if we haven't seen him perform in a couple of years.
