Jimmy Graham Tweets Congrats to Akiem Hicks for Getting Out of New Orleans
New Orleans Saints fans have seen the smoke.
They saw the first plumes in 2014, when their team devolved into the picture of inconsistency.
They lost to the Cleveland Browns but beat the Green Bay Packers. Brandin Cooks flew, while Drew Brees' passes hung for half a breath longer than they used to.

Then there was the defense, which fell flat on its face...then through a trap door...into a barrel of burning mouse traps.
So, the question Saints fans might be asking: Is there fire in New Orleans? Is the house burning down? Do I have time to pack my Pokemon cards? Just the Game Boy?
I can't answer that, but judging by his recent Twitter correspondence, Jimmy Graham seems to believe his former teammates should save themselves while they can.
NOLA.com's Christopher Dabe (h/t the Big Lead's Stephen Douglas) spotted the message in question. The former Saints tight end tweeted (and then deleted) a note to former Saints defensive lineman Akiem Hicks, who was traded to the New England Patriots on Wednesday.
His message to Hicks: Be glad you made it out.
Now, this isn't exactly a doomsday omen, guys.
Graham's departure from New Orleans was a strange and public affair that rippled across the league. He got jerked around for the better part of a year before being traded to the team whose fans hated him most.
So there's that to consider.
Then again, if you're a Saints fan looking for reasons as to why you're 0-3 and the sky is falling, you might take this as more than the bitterness from a lover scorned (oh yes, there was love).
In any case, Graham isn't sitting much prettier with the Seattle Seahawks at the moment. Seattle is 1-2, with Graham recording 14 receptions for two touchdowns and 145 yards through three games—average-ish for his standards.
But the Seahawks will bounce back. They always do. New Orleans, however, will have to hope a banged-up Brees can pull it together quickly.
If not—welp—Saints fans will have to pop in that old tape from 2009.
Dan is on Twitter. He'll never get used to seeing Jimmy Graham in a Seahawks jersey.
