Information is leaking out about a forthcoming BBC documentary on Manchester United star Wayne Rooney.
One of the more interesting nuggets is that Rooney, who started his career at boyhood club Everton, could have actually ended up at Liverpool—the fierce rival of both his clubs.

The Daily Mail, who've seen the documentary, saw footage of a "teenager who once turned up for a Liverpool trial in an Everton kit."
How different life could have been for England's record goalscorer.
The documentary also reveals the somewhat unromantic way he proposed to his wife, Coleen.
Again as per the Mail:
"Their first date was at the cinema and while we learn that he proposed marriage on a garage forecourt it was a rather unromantic gesture subsequently atoned for by regular verses of poetry. ‘The poems have died down a bit now,’ shrugs Coleen.
"
The documentary, entitled Rooney: The Man Behind the Goals, will be broadcast on 5 October.
