Jordan Spieth added to his impressive trophy cabinet on Monday, winning the PGA of America Player of the Year award and the Vardon Trophy, two end-of-season awards handed out by the PGA of America.

As reported by the PGA's official website, the Masters and U.S. Open Championship winner, who made a real run at completing the Grand Slam in 2015, became the second-youngest player to win both awards, sitting just behind Tiger Woods, who achieved the feat at the age of 21 in 1997.

The 22-year-old had a phenomenal 2015 season, winning his first major at the Masters and continuing his momentum into the U.S. Open. He finished fourth at The Open Championship, one shot out of a play-off, took second at the PGA Championship and capped it off by winning the Tour Championship and FedEx Cup in one swoop.

As shared by ESPN, he joined some elite company by capturing five PGA Tour wins in one campaign:

Spieth winning player of the year awards is almost a formality, per ESPN.com's Jason Sobel:

Spieth established himself as the sport's next superstar in 2015, and going into 2016, fans are already salivating about the possible rivalry with Rory McIlroy that could start to brew. The Northern Irishman won the Vardon Trophy, Player of the Year and Tour Player of the Year awards last season, and while he struggled at times in 2015, he's expected to return to his best next season.

Spieth is the man of the moment, however, and his future looks incredibly bright. He made over $23 million in total earnings on the course in 2015, per Golf Digest's Ron Sirak, which amounts to the richest season in golf history, an incredible feat just two years after playing his rookie season on the PGA Tour.

The sky is the limit for Spieth, who seemed to get better as the year went along and should be in store for another monster season in 2016.
