Trent Cole Injury: Updates on Colts LB's Knee and Return
Indianapolis Colts linebacker Trent Cole suffered a knee injury during practice prior to Week 3, keeping him out of the team's clash with the Tennessee Titans. Thankfully for Colts fans, he is active against the Jacksonville Jaguars for Week 4.
Prior to the Titans game on Sept. 26, Mike Wells of ESPN noted veteran pass-rusher Robert Mathis would start in Cole's place. Should Cole miss any more time this season, fans should expect to see Mathis replace him once again.
Although Mathis was once among the league's most feared edge-rushers, racking up 19.5 sacks in 2013, he's still getting back into game shape from an extended absence due to an Achilles injury.
