Cam Newton Surprises 10-Year-Old Cancer Patient at Halloween Party

On Friday, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton put on his Superman cape and surprised Elijah, a 10-year-old boy from North Carolina who is terminally ill with a rare form of cancer.

Elijah, a huge Auburn fan, was having a Halloween party, because doctors aren't sure if he'll make it to the end of October, per Xavier Walton of NBC Charlotte.

"As a mom it absolutely melts your heart," Becky Hughes, Elijah's mom, said. "It brings tears to my eyes."

It seemed like Newton was really the life of the party. This wasn't just some drive-by photo-op. According to the video up top, the QB even brought an ice cream truck.

Elijah, dressed as the joker, must have been thrilled.
