Mangala Among Numerous City Absentees

Friday, Sept, 25

Sky Blues manager Manuel Pellegrini revealed in his pre-match press conference that the Frenchman was among numerous City players unavailable for the White Hart Lane clash, per the Manchester Evening News' Stuart Brennan:

Mangala was withdrawn at half-time in last weekend's 2-1 defeat to West Ham United, per ESPN FC's Richard Jolly, in the league leaders' first loss of the season.

The Hammers defeat was also the first time City had conceded in the Premier League all season, and Pellegrini will be looking for his side to tighten up once again at the back against Spurs.

The loss of 24-year-old Mangala is a blow in that respect, but City have more than adequate back-up in the shape of Nicolas Otamendi.
