Brock Lesnar Reportedly Has 4 Potential WrestleMania 32 Opponents

Brock Lesnar will undoubtedly be involved in one of the top matches next year at WrestleMania 32 in Arlington, Texas, and according to a new report, there are four possibilities in terms of who The Beast Incarnate will face.

Per Bill Hanstock of CagesideSeats.com, the Wrestling Observer reported that Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, The Rock and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin are The Conquerer's likeliest opponents.

Lesnar has been engaged in a feud with The Undertaker since The Phenom cost him the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Battleground. They subsequently had a match at SummerSlam, which Taker won, and they are scheduled to do battle once again at Hell in a Cell next month.

Since every indication is that the Hell in a Cell match will be their final encounter, speculation has already begun regarding what Paul Heyman's client will do at the Show of Shows.

Lesnar faced Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 31, but it was interrupted by a Rollins Money in the Bank cash-in. That means he has unfinished business with both Superstars.

The more intriguing matchups, however, would involve The Rock or Austin. The Rock hasn't wrestled since his WrestleMania 29 loss to John Cena, while The Texas Rattlesnake hasn't laced up the boots in more than 12 years.

Both are massive draws who would unquestionably help Vince McMahon sell out AT&T Stadium and its capacity of 100,000-plus people regardless of their opponents.

Lesnar and The Rock have a history, as The Beast beat the People's Champion to become WWE champion for the first time back at SummerSlam 2002. Also, The Rock admitted to Chris Van Vliet of WSVN in March that he would be open to facing Lesnar in the Dallas area, according to Nick Schwartz of USA Today.

In Dallas? Possibly. There's a lot of things that are up in the air. Lot of things are up in the air. We'll see. I would love that rematch, I would love...whatever it is, you want to create something that's going to be special, memorable, especially in Dallas at that stadium, you have a shot at breaking the attendance record. It's got to be special.

"

Austin famously walked out on WWE when asked to lose a match to Lesnar without proper build in 2002, and he played up that fact during a podcast interview with Heyman.

Despite the angle, Austin said on a later podcast that he didn't anticipate taking on Lesnar at WrestleMania 32, per Sean Rueter of CagesideSeats.com:

What I did was kind of raised the hopes of people, and halfway kind of half-ass booked myself into a match—which was not my intention. So, at WrestleMania 32, I don't believe you're gonna be seeing Brock Lesnar-Stone Cold Steve Austin in the same ring, so it wasn't my intention to get into booking territory or spin a match or sell a match, so I just wanted to make that clear to everybody.

"

Playing coy is something most in the wrestling industry are quite skilled at, so it is entirely possible that Austin was simply looking to deflect attention away from the match only to revisit it at a later time.

Austin will interview Lesnar following the Oct. 19 Raw in Dallas as part of a WWE Network special, so the possibility of that match occurring may become a bit clearer then.

There is no shortage of intriguing options on the table for The Beast Incarnate leading up to WrestleMania, and while big names like The Rock and Austin would be a dream come true for most fans, Lesnar has the ability to get something special out of almost anyone.
