Diego Costa Should Join UFC and Fight Conor McGregor, Says Jimmy Bullard

In the wake of Diego Costa's latest violent conduct charge, former Premier League star Jimmy Bullard has suggested an outlet for the Brazilian-born striker's aggressive ways: Join the UFC and fight Conor McGregor.

Writing in his Daily Star column, Bullard lambasted Costa's style—calling the Chelsea star "a lemon"—and suggested he should book an appointment in the Octagon with the UFC interim featherweight champion:

"

Go and fight Conor McGregor and show us what you've really got. The bloke's a lemon. He needs a good kick up the arse.

In my day we had Big Duncan Ferguson and he was a hardman, simple as that. He wasn't trying to be something he wasn't.

Costa is going round picking fights and trying to bully young kids. I don't like all that. I go and watch football to see football, not fights.

"

Clearly, Bullard is not impressed with Costa's antics. After all, if a footballer is going to fight, he should probably do it off the field and with a teammate. Right, Jimmy?
