Crystal Palace Defender Brede Hangeland Catches Train Home After League Cup Game
September 24, 2015
Crystal Palace defender Brede Hangeland is as down-to-earth as Premier League footballers come.
In 2009, he asked guests at his wedding to contribute to a Save The Children project in Cambodia rather than buy gifts, which raised £45,000.
And on Wednesday night, the Norwegian was spotted waiting patiently for a train at Selhurst Station hours after Palace's 4-1 win over Charlton in the Capital One Cup.
It's not the first time Hangeland and his team-mates have caught public transport home from the match, with this Twitter user snapping the defender and fellow Palace players on the tube after a game against Tottenham.
