Baron Corbin Has Most to Prove in NXT Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Tournament
Whether you like NXT Superstar Baron Corbin or not, he will be the wrestler with the most to prove at TakeOver: Respect as part of the conclusion to the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
It's fitting that the title of the event has the word "respect" in it, as that's exactly what Corbin will be fighting to earn.
Not only will the team of Corbin and Rhyno likely steal a victory in the semifinals of the tournament, but all signs point to the unlikely duo winning in the finals as well, with Corbin being forced to work double duty.

Corbin being in two marquee matches in one night should help ease some of the hatred from the fans.
When I say hatred, that’s not an overstatement. The fans of NXT show Corbin no respect when he hits the ring and mock him all the time. There is no doubt that he is an unproven talent, but he is working hard to get better in the ring and as a character.
The former collegiate football player is green in the ring, but with the support of the WWE producers behind the scenes and a veteran in Rhyno at his side to help him learn on the fly, the stage has been set for Corbin to succeed.
Like him or not, Corbin has the physical size and the presence to make him a top heel in the business someday. While he will never be known as a great talker, limiting how much he says could help build his character of a soft-spoken badass.
Corbin and Rhyno will take on the winner of The Hype Bros vs. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable in the semifinals. With the duo of Finn Balor and Samoa Joe almost guaranteed to make it to the finals, NXT needs a heel duo that can generate heat.
Look no further than Corbin’s team.
The hope is that NXT will be booking Joe to turn heel on Balor in order to set up a long-term main event storyline for the NXT Championship, and that would leave the door open for Corbin and Rhyno to earn the victory in the tournament.
With Corbin likely having two matches in one night and likely winning both, the pressure is on for the Superstar to show the NXT Universe he deserves the push. There is no doubt that he will be under the most pressure at TakeOver.
