
Vontae Davis Injury: Updates on Colts CB's Status and Return
Indianapolis Colts star cornerback Vontae Davis was declared active for tonight's Week 5 matchup against the Houston Texans.
Kevin Bowen of Colts.com reported Davis was at practice on Oct. 5 but didn't participate.
Injuries have ravaged the Colts' defensive backfield in 2015. In Week 2's loss to the New York Jets that dropped Indianapolis to 0-2, Davis left the contest with a concussion. That left the Colts down their top four cornerbacks at the time.

The defense needs to play better for the Colts to truly be a contender. The unit currently ranks 27th in total yards allowed per contest. Davis is vital to the cause as the best defensive player on the roster.
