Iker Casillas Reveals Positive Relationship with 'Temperamental' Ronaldo

Iker Casillas has admitted that Cristiano Ronaldo can be “temperamental” but is someone with whom he’s established a good relationship over time.

The pair enjoyed six years together at Real Madrid before the Spanish stopper left for pastures new this summer, joining FC Porto after 16 seasons in the first team at the Santiago Bernabeu.

In that time, Casillas saw many players come and go, but it's his relationship with Ronaldo that remains of interest to the Spanish media—someone the goalkeeper describes as a "straight-up" guy.

Cristiano is someone who is straight-up. He can be temperamental but he’s done well for himself. 

I’ve known him for six years and we’ve established a good relationship. Whenever there was an issue we’d deal with it and it got resolved.

One person Casillas didn't have a good relationship with is Jose Mourinho, and the pair will meet in the Champions League on September 29.
