Bellator 142 Dynamite: Live Main Card Results, Play-by-Play and Highlights
Bellator 142 Dynamite is in the books.
The event featured a combination of mixed martial arts and Glory kickboxing matches, each style of combat factoring into the main card. The focal point of the show was on Bellator's light heavyweight division though, with both a one-night tournament and a title fight.
Phil Davis emerged victorious in the tourney. He submitted Emanuel Newton in his first fight, then knocked out replacement fighter Francis Carmont in the second. He'll fight for the title next time out.
Davis' title shot will come against Liam McGeary, who submitted Tito Ortiz in Round 1 of their championship tilt. McGeary remains undefeated with the victory, moving to 11-0 with 10 finishes.
