FIFA 16: Top Young Star Player Ratings, Release Date and Best New Features

I know you're excited.

FIFA 16 is going to release Tuesday in the United States and Sept. 24 worldwide. Many gamers have had a chance to play the demo to whet their appetites, but there's nothing like having full reign of all the teams and leagues.

Speaking of which, the numbers have grown substantially on both accounts. Per EA Sports, there are 30 leagues with more than 650 playable teams. You can see the full list here. 

The biggest highlight of the new teams is the inclusion of 12 women's national teams.

FIFA is the first major sports video game series to include women's teams. This follows EA Sports UFC's inclusion of female fighters, and of course, the WWE games have included Divas for years.

United States star Alex Morgan shares the cover with FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi in America. She talked about appearing on the cover, per Adena Andrews of espnW (via an EA Sports press release).

I know people all over the world play this game and I'm really excited that FIFA 16 is putting such an important spotlight on women's soccer. And now to share the cover with today's greatest player is surreal.

The women's teams can be used in offline kick-off, online tournaments and a few other modes but not in Ultimate Team or the career modes.

Aside from the inclusion of women's teams, the other major addition to the game is FIFA Ultimate Team Draft (FUT Draft). It functions much like Madden 16's new Draft Champions mode. EA Sports breaks down the mode in this trailer:

The replay value in the mode is perhaps its best quality. Unlike traditional Ultimate Team, which requires you to spend time or money to get the best players, FUT Draft gives you the option to control the best in the world upfront.

The world's best players are clearly Messi and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, but those guys are veterans. It's interesting to look at the best young players in the world. This can be especially helpful when you play career modes. These are the guys you'll want on your club for the long haul.

Here's the top five players in the game who are 26 and under.

1. Eden Hazard, Chelsea, 24 years old, 89 overall rating

The nimble left midfielder is not only the highest-rated player 25 and under, he's also tied for sixth overall, regardless of age. His best attributes are his dribbling (92) and pace (90). Because he's still so young, the best is yet to come as his game develops over the next few years.

2. Neymar Jr. FC Barcelona, 23 years old, 88 overall rating

How good is Neymar? According to FIFA 16, the only left wing who is better than the Brazilian is Ronaldo. His dribbling and pace are identical to Hazard's, but his weak foot and skill moves are all 5-star rated compared to the 4-star marks the Chelsea star possesses. 

3. James Rodriguez, Real Madrid, 23 years old, 87 overall rating

Real Madrid's future could be in the hands of James Rodriguez, as he is perhaps the brightest young star the team has. His dribbling (85), passing (84) and shooting (86) are exemplary. If you're looking for a better center attacking midfielder, Rodriguez will probably be the world's best in the next two to three years.

4. Toni Kroos, Real Madrid, 25 years old, 87 overall rating

The middle of Real Madrid's 11 looks to be set up for long-term success. Along with Rodriguez, center midfielder Toni Kroos is sure to make it rough for any team to contain the midfielders for The Whites.

His passing superb (88), and his overall defense is excellent for his position (66).

5. David De Gea, Manchester United, 25 years old, 86 overall rating

The best young goalkeeper in the world is Manchester United's David De Gea. Armed with excellent reflexes (89) and diving ability (88), the last line of defense for United should be solid for years to come.
