WWE's Top Tweets, Instagram Photos and Viral Videos for Week of September 14

Whether they came with cake or eyes welling up with tears, celebrations were at the heart of much of the week's WWE-centric social media.

John Cena and Sting celebrated a young fan's victory over cancer. Paige made sure to enjoy the remnants left behind after Nikki Bella's "Bellabration." And WWE reminded us that wrestlers trying to mark victories with trophies usually end up disappointed, with broken pieces of their prize at their feet.

When Night of Champions arrives, several Superstars will have an opportunity for prizes of their own, as every title will be on the line.

That includes the tag team belts, which the newly returned Dudley Boyz are after. Despite The New Day just winning back those straps last month, it's not hard to find someone who believes that trio's days as champs are numbered.

The discussion has turned to what another title reign would mean for Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley. Big E, though, isn't having any of it.

He offered an unexpected response to D-Von talking about The Dudley Boyz winning the titles for the 10th time:

Whoever emerges from Night of Champions as the titleholder may eventually have to worry about The Cosmic Wasteland charging at them. Aligning with Stardust has given The Ascension sorely needed momentum.

It's unclear whether WWE wants to portray them as contenders or not, but the partnership certainly has worked from an aesthetic standpoint. The Ascension and Stardust fit extremely well together. That was on display in WWE's Instagram shot of them before their appearance on Monday's Raw:

While Stardust was busy playing the supervillain, another face-painted Superstar was being a hero after the show was over.

Sting and Cena teamed up in the main event of Monday's Raw. They continued that alliance as they greeted and celebrated a seven-year-old cancer survivor named Kiara Grindrod.

The clip of them interacting with the young fan is not surprisingly the most-watched WWE video of the week at nearly 1.5 million views:

Sting also showed up in a video where WWE reflected back on times where wrestlers destroyed trophies, championships, cars and other prized possessions. Just as fans expect every contract signing to end in violence, they know full well to count on any trophy a wrestler brings to the ring being smashed to bits by the end of the night.

The latest countdown video shows prime examples of that in action, including Captain Lou Albano, Eddie Guerrero and Road Dogg (still Jesse James at the time) doing some onstage vandalism:

The only property destruction on Monday's Raw was Kevin Owens flinging around one of Ryback's favorite books. That episode, despite Raw's lack of season finales, was dubbed the "season premiere."

Kayfabe News, the wrestling equivalent of the Onion, wasn't about to let WWE go unmocked for that. It crafted the perfect fake headline to make fun of the move:

On this so-called season premiere, Dean Ambrose stood up to The Wyatt Family with his fists at the ready and no trace of fear in his eyes. On SmackDown three days later, he had headlined the show in a tag match against Seth Rollins and Sheamus.

During the bout, Ambrose flew out of the ring, crashing into Sheamus, before looking up at a kid in the crowd and giving him a fist-bump that he won't soon forget:

That same night, Nikki wanted to spend the majority of SmackDown gloating about becoming the longest-reigning Divas champ of all time. Her sister had a party planned for her, but as things so often go in the WWE world, it all fell apart.

Nikki ended up throwing her cake at Brie Bella and Alicia Fox. Paige, clearly a dessert enthusiast, made sure that it didn't go to waste.

The Instagram photo of her gobbling cake off the floor with dual party hats may just be funny enough to have fans angry about Nikki beating AJ Lee's record calm down a bit:

On Sunday, it will be Sting, Cena, The Dudley Boyz and Charlotte looking to do the celebrating. Each of them has a title match lined up at the Night of Champions pay-per-view.

If things go well for them, there will be plenty of cake, fist-bumps and victory songs in Houston that night.
