Manchester United Transfer News: Adnan Januzaj Switch Discussed by Marc Wilmots
Belgium national team coach Marc Wilmots believes that Adnan Januzaj's loan move from Manchester United to Borussia Dortmund can help him to reach the same level as Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne.
United boss Louis van Gaal sent Belgium international Januzaj on a season-long loan to Dortmund at the end of the summer transfer window, much to the confusion of many Red Devils supporters, per ESPN FC's Musa Okwonga.
However, Wilmots has backed the move, and believes Januzaj could benefit in the same way international team-mate De Bruyne did when he switched Chelsea for Wolfsburg, per Joe Short in the Express:

"For Kevin De Bruyne, the return to Wolfsburg from Chelsea was absolutely right. I am also convinced that Adnan’s decision to go on loan to BVB is exactly the right one. It will help him reach that next level. Januzaj can have a similar development to De Bruyne’s. He can hit the ball with such force out of nowhere. I was beginning to wonder if he’d somehow done something to the ball or his boots.

De Bruyne's move from Stamford Bridge to Wolfsburg in January 2014 saw him make the leap from under-valued squad player to one of the most devastating attacking talents in Europe.
Per WhoScored.com, the former Genk winger scored 10 goals and provided 20 assists in the Bundesliga last season before making a £55 million move to City in the summer.
If the 20-year-old Januzaj can return from Bundesliga club Dortmund similarly improved then United will have a serious player on their hands.
Januzaj's emergence can be counted as one of the few shining lights of United's miserable 2013-14 season under manager David Moyes.
Since bursting onto the scene with pace and flair his development has slowed somewhat under Van Gaal, not least because he was handed just seven league starts last season, per WhoScored.
He is likely to be given more opportunities under Thomas Tuchel at Dortmund, and indeed he made an impact on Thursday with a lively performance in the Germans' 2-1 Europa League win over Krasnodar, per Squawka:
Januzaj is a huge talent, but he still has plenty of developing to do and Wilmots clearly believes that he can advance at Dortmund.
If he is proven correct then Januzaj could go on to become one of the world's top players and a huge asset for the Red Devils in the coming seasons.
