Monday, Oct. 12
Jaguars beat writer Eugene Frenette provided a synopsis from Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley from Monday's press conference, noting "Posluszny attempted to warm up for Bucs game, wasn't ready to go."
Posluszny Has Lengthy Injury History
Posluszny has not played a full season since 2012.
A linebacker who has shown throughout his career that he is above-average against the run, Posluszny started his 2015 campaign well, recording eight tackles in Jacksonville's opening loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Following Week 5, Bradley said "he can't diminish factor of Posluszny being missed for his ability to call plays, get people lined up correctly," according to Frenette.
Posluszny also showing potential in pass coverage, intercepting his first pass in two years against the Panthers. Following Week 4, Posluszny has recorded 39 combined tackles (33 total, six assisted).
Rookie Thurston Armbrister is slotted as Posluszny's replacement on the Jaguars' official website. The undrafted free agent out of Miami recorded 38 tackles with the Hurricanes last season and has just two assisted tackles thus far.
