It would be a stretch to say the Cowboys need Lee in order to make the postseason. They finished 12-4 and nearly advanced to the NFC Championship Game without him last year. However, Lee's presence on the field gives the Cowboys a consistent tackling presence vs. the run game and a smart player overall.
