Frank Lampard Scores 1st MLS Goal for NYC After Andrea Pirlo's Build-Up Play
September 17, 2015
It was a matter of when, not if, and now Frank Lampard is off the mark in Major League Soccer.
The former Premier League star scored his first MLS goal during New York City FC's 2-0 win over Toronto FC on Wednesday.
The ball fell to Lampard after a lovely chipped pass in the build-up by fellow marquee signing Andrea Pirlo.
It wasn't the former England midfielder's tidiest finish, but they all count.
Lampard played over 400 times for Chelsea, scoring 147 goals.
