Peyton Manning Gives Broncos Media Members Their Own Injury Report

Alec NathanSep 15, 2015

From hilarious commercial spots to impromptu practice dance sessions and an appearance on Saturday Night LiveDenver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has been known to boast a terrific sense of humor.

Tuesday, he added to that comedic legacy by making light of his appearance on the team's injury report with a minor back ailment.

According to USA Today's Lindsay H. Jones, Manning used some of his time with reporters to hold court and diagnose various members of the local media with bumps and bruises of their own.

Mile High Report on Twitter passed along text of the signal-caller's complete remarks:

That's some serious analysis.

But as for the issue at hand, Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak reiterated his quarterback's injury isn't worth getting worked up about following Denver's 19-13 win over the Baltimore Ravens

"He's just sore coming out of the game," Kubiak said, according to Jones. "He took some shots."

Although Manning missed the entire 2011 season after undergoing several procedures on his neck, the future Hall of Famer has been among the most durable players in the league since making his debut in 1998. With the exception of 2011, Manning has started all 16 games during each full season he's played.

After getting sacked four times en route to throwing for just 175 yards and an interception against the Ravens, Manning should be wary of a Kansas City Chiefs defense that tallied five sacks last week against the Houston Texans

So, as pass-rushing weapons such as Tamba Hali and Justin Houston set their sights on the 39-year-old quarterback, the Broncos will need to keep their prized passer upright Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium.
