Joshua Holsey Injury: Updates on Auburn CB's Knee and Recovery

Holsey Reinjures Left Knee

Jay G. Tate of Rivals.com reported Holsey suffered a torn ACL, which is the same injury that sidelined him in October 2013. Bleacher Report's Bryan Fischer didn't underplay what this will mean for the Tigers going forward:
"He's struggling right now," said Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn of Holsey, per Tom Green of the Opelika-Auburn News.
The senior cornerback played in 12 games last year, making 41 total tackles. He was expected to play a big role in a defense that allowed 239.2 passing yards per game (86th in the country) last year.
Instead, defensive coordinator Will Muschamp will likely need to rely more on freshmen Jeremiah Dinson, Carlton Davis and Tim Irvin to compensate for Holsey's absence.
