Aqib Talib Records 7th Career Pick-6, Leads NFL Since 2009

Bleacher Report MilestonesSep 14, 2015

Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib returned an interception for a touchdown in Sunday's 19-13 win over the Baltimore Ravens, giving him an NFL-high seven pick-sixes since the beginning of the 2009 season, per Patrick Smyth of the Broncos' PR department.

With the Broncos trailing 13-9 in the final minute of the third quarter, Talib jumped a pass intended for Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith, who famously told Talib to "ice up, son" during a game between the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots in 2013.

Talib completed his revenge with a 51-yard return, outracing Smith and Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco to the end zone.

Now in his ninth NFL season and playing for his third team, the 29-year-old Talib has 28 interceptions and seven touchdowns in 93 career games, and he isn't even the best cornerback on his own team.

That honor goes to Chris Harris Jr., who got the position's highest overall grade and highest pass-coverage grade from Pro Football Focus last season.

With 2014 first-round selection Bradley Roby manning the slot, Denver may have the NFL's best group of cornerbacks, not to mention the fearsome pass-rushing duo of DeMarcus Ware and Von Miller.
