Jackson Active for Week 15

Sunday, Dec. 20

The Redskins announced that Jackson was available to play against the Buffalo Bills.

Gruden Comments on Jackson's Status

Redskins head coach Jay Gruden told reporters "Jackson is day-to-day with a patella contusion."

Jackson Unable to Shake Injury Bug in 2015

Jackson has a slender frame and is susceptible to being dinged up as a result. Although he has managed to remain rather durable during his NFL career, the 29-year-old missed extended time this season due to a nagging hamstring injury.

Pierre Garcon can also stretch the field vertically, but the Redskins' receiving corps is all the more dangerous when Jackson is on the field. There aren't many other explosive playmakers at quarterback Kirk Cousins' disposal, save for athletic tight end Jordan Reed.

One pleasant surprise has been rookie fourth-round draft pick Jamison Crowder. The former Duke receiver is on par with Garcon and Reed in terms of production, with 49 receptions on the year.
