Line Judge Gary Arthur Suffers Broken Collarbone in Ravens vs. Broncos Game
The officiating crew for Sunday's game between the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens was down a man after line judge Gary Arthur fractured his collarbone.
On Monday, Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk added, per a league source, "Arthur remains hospitalized in Denver, and suffered nine broken ribs and a collapsed lung in the collision."
The injury came on a punt return in the first half. According to USA Today's Lindsay Jones, Arthur was able to walk off the field under his own power, and medical personnel carted him to the locker room:

Fox Sports' Mike Pereira provided some insight as to how the remaining officiating crew would compensate for Arthur's injury:
Arthur is in his 19th year as an NFL referee and a member of the seven-man crew that includes Barry Anderson, Dino Paganelli, Gene Steratore, Bob Waggoner, Ed Walker and Mike Weatherford.
Given the severity of the injury, the league will likely announce a long-term replacement for Arthur as he allows his collarbone and other injuries to heal.
