Andre Johnson, Donte Moncrief's Updated Fantasy Outlook After T.Y. Hilton Injury
The high-powered Indianapolis Colts offense lost a key component in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills when star wide receiver T.Y. Hilton left the game with a left knee injury that required X-rays, per Mike Chappell of Fox 59.
If there is a silver lining for the Colts—and fantasy owners—it's that the team has built depth at wide receiver with veteran Andre Johnson and second-year standout Donte Moncrief.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
There was a time when Johnson was an absolute must-own fantasy player, but the 34-year-old is not the dynamic playmaker everyone loved during his best days in Houston. He's still valuable for PPR purposes, just don't expect many yards or touchdowns.
Playing with Andrew Luck will help Johnson catch a few more passes, though possession receivers don't have a lot of value beyond No. 3/bench player at this point.
On the other hand, Moncrief's stock should rise in Hilton's absence. He's just 22 years old, has excellent speed after running a 4.4 40-yard dash during the 2014 combine, had a solid 444 yards with three touchdowns and seven of his catches went for at least 20 yards despite playing mostly off the bench as a rookie.
Luck's ability to create time with his legs allows Moncrief to get down the field to make those big plays. The former Ole Miss star can play on the outside or line up in the slot. He can evolve into a No. 2 role if Hilton misses an extended period of time.
Fantasy owners would be smart to take a shot on Moncrief if they need depth at wide receiver heading into Week 2. Johnson doesn't offer much upside, but his ability to get receptions will make him a fantasy player worth keeping around.
