Joeckel Reportedly out of Walking Boot
Thursday, Sept. 17
According to Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union, Joeckel was out of his walking boot in the Jaguars' locker room Thursday.
Per Mike DiRocco of ESPN.com, Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said Joeckel's ankle injury wasn't "as severe as it could have been" after the second-year tackle had an MRI.
Joeckel's Injury History; Impact on Jags Defense
The No. 2 pick in the 2013 draft, Joeckel started 21 games in his first two seasons. He has suffered a significant injury previously, missing the last 11 games of his rookie season due to a fractured right ankle in a game against the St. Louis Rams.
With the Jaguars playing second-year quarterback Blake Bortles, who still needs time to develop, Joeckel's play on the left side will be vital to the team's success on offense.
