Pierre Garcon, Andre Roberts Fantasy Outlook After DeSean Jackson's Injury
Washington's season got off to a potentially rough start on Sunday, as star wideout DeSean Jackson had to leave the game against the Miami Dolphins with a groin injury and couldn't return, per the team's official Twitter account.
So where does that leave the team's other receivers—such as Pierre Garcon and Andre Roberts—from a fantasy perspective?
For fantasy purposes, Garcon is the only wideout on Washington with fantasy relevance if Jackson remains injured. He'll become the team's No. 1 target out wide and will likely get the deep routes that would otherwise go to Jackson.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
| Pierre Garcon | 6 | 74 | 0 | 8 | 7 |
| Andre Roberts | 3 | 35 | 0 | 4 | 1 |
Even so, Garcon is at best a flex consideration. Washington's pass offense isn't exactly inspiring, and Jackson's fantasy value always came from his big-play ability and elite speed, not because Kirk Cousins and the Washington passing game made him look good.
If you are playing Garcon, you are playing him because Jackson remains sidelined and because Washington has a favorable matchup against a poor pass defense.
As for Roberts, he's nothing more than a WR4 or WR5 consideration. He didn't help himself with a fumble on Sunday, and his career year came in 2012, when he notched 64 receptions for 759 yards and five touchdowns. That's his ceiling, and it's a pretty low one for fantasy purposes.
