Details of Pre-Agreement Revealed

"Neymar has reportedly come to a pre-agreement with the Catalans to sign a three-year extension on his current deal," relayed Goal.com, citing COPE.

Manchester United Provide Rival Option

Friday, Sept. 11

As first noted by Ed Malyon of the Daily Mirror, United are interested in signing the Barcelona No. 11, and the forward is said to have told friends while on holiday that a move to Old Trafford would appeal to him.

United are one of the few clubs with the finances to lure Neymar away from the Camp Nou, which significantly weakens Barcelona's bargaining position.

Neymar's Worth Clear in 2015 Treble

Neymar has grown into one of the finest players in world football over the past 12 months. No longer is he a forward who is unnecessarily flashy in possession; he’s an incisive and intelligent presence out on the left flank.

He also shone in big moments for Barcelona on their way to treble glory in the 2014-15 season, scoring in both quarter-finals, both semi-finals and the final of the Champions League in that memorable campaign.

Now, the challenge for the winger is to get even better, and a new deal from Barcelona would be a renewed show of faith in Neymar’s extraordinary talent if both parties share the same desire.
