Danilo Facing a Month Out

The Madrid giants provided full details of Danilo's injury following his assessment: "Following the tests carried out on Danilo today in the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, the player has been diagnosed with a plantar fasciitis tear in his right foot. His condition will be evaluated."
Although the club themselves did not provide a timescale for his potential return, the normal recovery time for such an injury is between three and four weeks, per Spanish outlet AS.
Rafael Benitez's side return to La Liga action this weekend with a trip to Espanyol and kick off their Champions League campaign with a clash against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old Danilo arrived at the Bernabeu from Porto over the summer in a six-year deal worth £23 million, and he has started both of Real's La Liga matches so far this season, per WhoScored.com.
In his absence, last season's first-choice right-back Dani Carvajal will likely step into the breach, while Alvaro Arbeloa can also provide cover.
Despite the adequate replacements, though, Benitez will hope to see Danilo return to full fitness as soon as possible. The matches come thick and fast at this stage of the season, and Real are already slightly off of the pace in La Liga following opening-day dropped points against Sporting Gijon.
