Joseph Fauria Reportedly Signs with Arizona Cardinals
Free-agent tight end Joseph Fauria is reportedly signing with the Arizona Cardinals, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The Cardinals weren't the only team interested in the tight end; according to ESPN Insider Field Yates on Sept. 8, the New York Giants were in the market for Fauria after hosting him for a visit.
The Lions no longer had much use for Fauria with the likes of 2014 first-round pick Eric Ebron and veteran Brandon Pettigrew in the fold.

"Thank you, Detroit. For letting this LA kid call this great city My Home! My journey is only beginning!" wrote Fauria on Twitter after the Lions let him go.
Fauria himself had a stellar TD catch ratio in 2013, when he racked up seven scores on only 18 receptions. His role in Detroit diminished last year, but he has serious upside and a 6'7" frame that makes him a challenging matchup.
The 25-year-old former undrafted free agent is a cheap replacement option—and the rewards could be huge for the Cardinals.
