Ball Visits New England Patriots

Tuesday, Sept. 29

Ball had a work out today with the Patriots, reported Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Patriots are currently using Dion Lewis and LeGarrette Blount as their primary backs. They have combined to register 50 attempts for 228 yards and five touchdowns and the team is currently on a bye in Week 4.

Atlanta Falcons Among Ball's Potential Suitors

Monday, Sept. 7

Troy Renck of the Denver Post reported that Ball is garnering interest from a few different teams across the league, with the Falcons being the only team he could specify.

Ball was a major disappointment in his two years with the Denver Broncos. After rushing for 559 yards and four touchdowns in his first season, he followed up with just 172 yards and one touchdown on the ground in 2014. He also averaged just 3.1 yards per carry.

A change of scenery could be the best thing for the former Wisconsin Badger. Things didn't work out in Denver, and Ball was never going to get enough touches to turn his career around in 2015.

FoxSports.com's Alex Marvez highlighted one potential reason for Atlanta's reported interest:

Whether it's in Atlanta or elsewhere, you'd expect Ball to sign with a team at some point during the 2015 season.
