Cristiano Ronaldo Pays Tribute to His Father on 10th Anniversary of His Death

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo will go down in history as one of the greatest footballers who ever lived, and it is a shame that his father was not there to see all his finest moments on a football pitch.

In September 2005, Ronaldo's father, Jose Dinis Aveiro, died at the age of 52, per Eurosport.

To mark the 10th anniversary of his passing, Ronaldo posted the above message on his Instagram page: "Thanks daddy always in my heart."
