WWE Night of Champions 2015: Most Intriguing Storylines to Track on Road to PPV
The 2015 edition of WWE’s Night of Champions pay-per-view is already creating buzz due to a stacked card, and there are several marquee storylines that the WWE Universe should be focusing on in the coming weeks.
From Seth Rollins being forced to defend both the WWE World Heavyweight and the United States Championships, to The Wyatt Family formally challenging Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns to a match at the September PPV, this is an event no wrestling fan can afford to miss.
Here are the most intriguing angles heading into Night of Champions.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Seth Rollins Pulling Double Duty
It doesn’t happen often, but Seth Rollins is pulling double duty at Night of Champions.
Not only will Rollins be forced to defend the U.S. title against John Cena in what will likely be the opening match of the PPV, but he will also have to put his WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line in the main event against Sting.
In today’s WWE, this is unprecedented. Rollins has been great in the ring for years, but his recent work on the mic has been the best of his career. With the champion involved in the two most important storylines in the WWE right now, there is no doubt the officials backstage are going all in on The Architect.
The best possible booking for Rollins at Night of Champions would start with one of the biggest victories of his career. Few men have ever beaten Cena clean in the middle of the ring, but Rollins should do so in the opening match of the PPV.
With momentum squarely on his side, Rollins should then take the loss to Sting in the main event and drop the title. This would give Sheamus the opportunity to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and would give The Authority the opportunity to turn their back on Rollins.
A Rollins face turn and match against Triple H is happening at some point, and the seeds would all be planted when the champion is forced to defend both of his titles on one PPV.
The Wyatt Family vs. Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns
The addition of Braun Strowman to The Wyatt Family has added a legitimate element of interest in stable, and the match between Ambrose and Reigns against Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Strowman has many long-term implications.
Few fans expect this storyline to end at Night of Champions, so the focus will be one how this battle continues, and more importantly, who aligns themselves with Reigns and Ambrose to even the odds.
There are many options for wrestlers who could step in and stop The Wyatt Family, but it has to be somebody noteworthy. With Daniel Bryan waiting on the sidelines, the possibility of having the former world champion join Ambrose and Reigns would be amazing,
Not only does Bryan have a long history with both Reigns and Ambrose, but he also has plenty of issues with The Wyatt Family, stemming from the group abducting him in the past. The WWE needs a shot in the arm, and Bryan needs to make his return.
Charlotte vs. Nikki Bella
Most wrestling fans assumed that Charlotte would get her shot at Nikki Bella and the Divas Championship at Night of Champions, but on SmackDown she said she wanted the title shot before the PPV.
Charlotte wants to take the title and not allow Nikki to become the longest-reigning Divas champion in history.
There are few fans who consider the title reign of Nikki Bella a success, and Charlotte has proved time and time again that she has the skill and personality to lead the division into the future.
The hope is that Charlotte gets a title shot before Night of Champions, but Brie or Alicia Fox gets involved and costs the challenger the win. Charlotte should then get a rematch at the September PPV and successfully capture the title, allowing Nikki to break the record.
