WWE Rumors: Buzz on Road to WWE Night of Champions 2015 for Week of Sept. 3

Aaron BowerSep 3, 2015

As WWE hurtles toward its next pay-per-view, Night of Champions, rumors are swirling about whether stars might return for the show or even what is going to happen beyond that particular night.

The Internet is often abuzz with rumors surrounding the long-term, short-term or even immediate futures of all of the stars in WWE at all ends of the card.

Let's take a look at the most prominent rumors from the last few days and examine what impact they could have on the company moving forward.

Kane Heading Back To WWE

Whether it's been as the Big Red Monster, as part of the Brothers of Destruction or even recently as part of The Authority, Kane has been one of WWE's most underrated and under-appreciated talents.

He has been a great stalwart for the company over the last couple of decades and has played a role in some of the key storylines concerning the company, and after being written off TV by Brock Lesnar before Battleground, he seems to be on his way back.

WrestlingInc.com's Marc Middleton writes that Kane is scheduled to be in attendance for next week's TV tapings, although Middleton does stop before confirming whether he'll actually appear on Raw and/or SmackDown.

However, even if it's not next week, you would think Kane's return to the screen is imminent, which brings up the question of how WWE will use him.

Should Sting be playing a prominent role in the build toward his match with Seth Rollins at Night of Champions, Kane would be an excellent foil for The Icon to take on. You could have Kane always being on Sting's back and putting the pressure on him, without directly forcing him to compete (as it's almost guaranteed he won't actually wrestle before NoC).

Just having some sort of muscle behind Rollins' back once again will only further add to the diminutive and crafty heel antics of Rollins, who has looked more vulnerable recently than ever before. Kane could make hard work of things for John Cena, Rollins' other opponent at the show, to try to weaken his position before the night itself.

Whatever the scenario, Kane will be definitely put to good use upon his return.

Bray Wyatt Injured?

With all of the hype surrounding Braun Strowman's debut in WWE, and an explosive one at that, it might have been easy to notice that Bray Wyatt hasn't wrestled that much lately.

In fact he was limited during the match following SummerSlam, which saw Stowman make his debut, and since then, he's barely been in action.

And while that doesn't usually mean anything out of the ordinary, WrestleZone.com's Nick Hausman notes that there have been suspicions that Wyatt could be carrying an injury, noted by Ric Flair on a recent podcast.

Hausman writes that Flair discussed Wyatt dealing with a shoulder problem, and that could explain why he's not been in the thick of it in recent weeks.

But luckily with the debut of Strowman and the re-alliance with Luke Harper to reform a Wyatt Family, Bray can stay on the sidelines playing the role of mouthpiece that he does so well.

But it will definitely be interesting to see how active Wyatt is as we approach Night of Champions, because his plans are very much unclear thus far.

A New Look For Adam Rose

It's safe to say that since his debut as the undisputed party boy of WWE's main roster, things really haven't gone to plan for Adam Rose.

Loss after loss and a rapid decline in momentum almost immediately after debuting left him very much at the bottom of the card with little to work with.

But a change could be in the offing for Rose according to WrestleZone.com's Bill Pritchard:

"

Adam Rose worked a match during tonight’s WWE Main Event tapings against Fandango, and had a bit of a more dramatic look.

Rose was seen wearing black tights, a polo shirt and glasses, and made an entrance without his music. According to reports, Rose was continuing to play up a new “party pooper” gimmick he’s been teasing over the past few weeks.

"

This would certainly be welcome news for anyone who is a fan of Rose, as he's been in desperate need of something fresh and creative to give him a shot in the arm.

He teased on Twitter that he may be returning to his original Leo Kruger gimmick, which was much more of a hit in NXT, but it seems WWE will be adopting a different angle.

Whether the change is a success or not will depend on how much investment he receives from WWE.
