Real Madrid Promised to Pay David De Gea €10 Million If They Didn't Sign Him

David De Gea may be heartbroken that his desired move to Real Madrid collapsed under head-scratching circumstances, but at least he may get a minor consolation prize for staying at Manchester United. 

Just €10 million, according to AS. 

The Madrid-based newspaper claims that Real Madrid promised the Manchester United goalkeeper €10 million if they failed to complete his transfer to the Spanish capital. 

It would hardly be an unprecedented promise in Florentino Perez's world: He once promised to pay the membership fees of 83,967 Real Madrid members if he failed to sign Luis Figo.
